The challenge

Filling NHS vacancies when pushed for time

Just R were challenged with the task of attracting registered nurses and HCSWs to vacancies within medicine, surgery, integrated care and community roles at Stockport, to drive quality candidates to two recruitment days.

The solution

Driving quality candidates to an in-person recruitment event

Through our tried and tested digital attraction strategies, we secured 154 attendees for the events, from a pool of both active and passive job-seekers.

The digital attraction campaign, running adverts across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, delivers strong employer value proposition messaging, bespoke employer branding and a periodical change in campaign focus to ensure the right candidate is targeted for the vacancies needed at the time. The broads reach of campaigns also helps enable inclusive recruitment, reaching groups who may not typically connect with NHS careers.

Why recruitment events work

 

 

Recruitment events prove a successful solution when filling NHS vacancies as it is a way of selling your organisation as a workplace of choice, as well as allowing Trusts to widen the pool of potential candidates and offer interviews (and even jobs) on the day. All in all, slicing the recruitment process in half for both parties, and filling vacancies fast.

The results

In total, 154 candidates attended across the two recruitment days and 101 of these were offered roles on the day. This included 26 Registered Nurses and 75 HCSWs; an incredible result for Stockport NHS Foundation Trust.
