The challenge
The digital campaign, which was targeting both qualified and student nurses, aimed to drive attendance at a Virtual Recruitment Event being hosted by the Trust.
The Trust had previously hosted successful in-person recruitment events, but given the current global pandemic, social distancing rules dictated that the event needed to be hosted online.

The solution
Creating a fresh, impactful recruitment identity
Over the course of six weeks, Just R’s personalised campaign featured engaging, eye-catching content to make a persuasive case for prospective candidates to join Tameside & Glossop NHS FT. Every expression of interest was followed by a phone call managed by the Just R team, answering any queries and confirming attendance at the event.
We maximised the opportunity to build awareness and familiarity of the Trust by creating a fresh, impactful recruitment identity following work completed earlier this year. This new branding was featured across a carefully crafted, engaging webpage designed to provide potential candidates with more information about the Trust and opportunities there. Carefully curated written content and tailored imagery offered detailed information about the Trust, preceptorship, training and benefits, as well as registration details for the Virtual Recruitment event
In just six weeks, Just R received and managed 196 enquiries. Every one of these people were contacted, pre-screened and booked onto the event by the Just R team.

The Results
Appreciating the need to maximise budget and drive ROI, we edited existing video content for this specific campaign. The videos were viewed more than 11,000 times, and the campaign reached more than 149,205 people.

While the campaign and Virtual Recruitment Event were designed to attract nurses, during the planning stages the Trust also expressed an interest in hearing from Health Care Assistants. We accommodated this within the campaign planning and, as enquiries came in, separated this pipeline to create an interested bank of candidates to draw upon when the need arose, saving on time and expensive recruitment agency fees.
Always committed to going above and beyond, Just R is currently undertaking a final call-round to review and secure feedback from candidates, including those who were unable to attend the event or may be interested in exploring future opportunities.
Creating a recruitment pipeline
When the campaign drew to a close, it did so with an impressive database of interested parties – 38 qualified nurses, and 37 student nurses, along with five interested candidates within other professional disciplines.
So far, 10 jobs have been offered and four are pending. There are also a number of interested student nurses, healthcare professionals from other disciplines, and nurses interested in other departments; we were able to pass on these individuals’ details to the Trust, creating a pipeline of future candidates as and when appropriate vacancies arise.
