The number of nurses recruited at Harrogate and District Trust doubled from 2016-17.

Following a campaign with digital recruitment specialist Just R, the number of nurses recruited at Harrogate and District Trust doubled from 2016-17.

Richard Wormwell from Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust said that Just R’s digital campaign, using targeted social media advertising, had had a huge impact on the Trust’s recruitment efforts.

The Just R team generated a content-led digital campaign targeting a select audience to boost the number of Band 5 nurses coming through recruitment channels at the Trust.

It was the first time that Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust had used social media as a recruitment tool, with outstanding results.

“We’ve doubled nursing recruitment numbers from 2016-17 following the campaign,” said Mr. Wormwell. “The Just R team generated the content, imagery and raised awareness of the possible locations to live in and around Harrogate.

“The team are experts in what they do, they were so helpful and consulted on the design and messaging across the campaign.”

Following the success of the nursing recruitment campaign, the Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust employed Just R to design and develop a nurse recruitment specific website.

The fully trackable, integrated web design was created around the inclusive and collaborative #TeamHarrogate concept, an idea which was formed through previous marketing efforts between Just R and the Trust. The newly designed website provided a platform to bring together the content-led recruitment campaign, featuring video, Trust promotion and awareness of the band 5 registered nurse vacancies on offer.

Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust has now been working with the Just R team for three years, having worked on a number of successful recruitment and brand recognition campaigns.
