A Recruitment Strategy Tailored to the Hampshire CAMHS Team

Using the consultative approach we take when working with our NHS colleagues, we worked with Hampshire CAMHS Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust to create a recruitment process designed to match the skills of the candidates with the needs of the Trust.
The Challenge
Our goal was to help the Hampshire CAMHS team get the right people into the right positions, and recruit into various hard-to-fill roles. We wanted to build an effective and efficient recruitment campaign to attract both active and passive candidates and drive them to a career conversation with the Trust
The Recruitment Strategy for You
In the recruitment of passive candidates, Just R believes that a consultative approach is the most effective one. Our strategy for career conversations has multiple touch points that feel personal and human, while still allowing us to be proactive and hands-on.
First, we attracted potential candidates through our digital recruitment campaign. Then, our candidate consultants pre-screened the candidates that submitted an enquiry form.
Finally, we guided them to bespoke, 1-1 career coaching conversations with a member of the Hampshire CAMHS team. This enabled them to discover where in the team they could best fulfil the candidate’s potential.
This recruitment strategy is especially effective at engaging and converting candidates that aren’t actively looking for a new role. It allows the team to showcase their USPs and unique value to applicants who want to know more about the opportunities available to them.
A Campaign Worthy of Attention
Our targeted digital recruitment campaign ran for three months across Facebook and Instagram, aimed at a variety of roles including AHPs, social workers and mental health nurses. Then, through 30 advertising posts, we helped the Trust refine a cohesive and distinguishable Employer Brand.
These posts were designed to be synergistic with career coaching conversations, so they utilised the Trust’s key messages and USPs; all of them featuring copywriting, design, animation and video editing, all drawn from the repertoire of creative skills within the Just R team.
In the end, we excelled past our lower boundary promise of 240k+, to achieve a reach of 800k+ people within the area around the Trust, with a further 13k+ reached organically.
Recruitment Strategy; Streamlined and Seamless
The campaign drove 17 key candidates to career coaching sessions across various hard-to-fill roles. These sessions were a fundamental component of our campaign. They attracted passive candidates to the Trust through our streamlined recruitment process.
Once they’d applied, potential candidates were added to the Just R Recruitment Pipeline Management System (a CRM system created from scratch by ourselves) where the Trust could oversee the progress of all candidates as they advanced through the process.

Each NHS Trust has a unique set of values and USPs. Just R apply adaptive and consultative methods that ensure your recruitment strategy works for you. In this case, a seamless recruitment process driving candidates to career coaching sessions brought out the best in the Hampshire CAMHS team so that they could get the best out of their recruits.
